Since 2017, in a concern for sustainable development, I strive to make my pieces only in wood using the glued laminated technique. So it was natural for me to take on a new challenge: recreate the 2011 carbon fiber Genèse Armchair in a 2022 version in American walnut. It took me many years of research to achieve this result. I had to adapt the shape of this new chair to the constraints of wood. In the final version, all the slats that make up the chair come together at the feet. The visible layers of wood emphasize the elegance and lightness of the curves. The Genesis Wooden Armchair was first presented at PAD London 2022.
