Created in 2018 to form a set with the Wave Desk, the Wave Side Table is small, versatile and made from glued laminated American walnut. Proportionally similar to the Wave Desk, it thickens under the top to enhance stability and rigidity. Its curve conveys a sense of floating, weightlessness and balance. Like a rolled up ribbon the Wave Side Table is a piece that plays with the material’s flexibility.
In 2020 I went back to the design of the first Side Table as aesthetic and technical research to get closer to the line of the Wave Desk. I have made several variations of my Side Table: higher and longer and in different shades of American walnut.
